WHOLENESS AS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE

Growing Through The Portions

Blessings BE Unto You!

Yesterday when I went to type this blog I ended up sitting for awhile in reflection.  It has been a journey.  Covid.  A Deep Spiritual Revelation.  Cancer being stubborn depleted my physical and mental capacity.  There are times that I have had to focus and be really efficient with my energy.  As I was living through this I decided that I wanted to "leave" an accounting of how I remained so peaceful throughout these last six years.  Also, I wanted to give an explaination of the breath sequence.

Both of these have now been accomplished.  The IN Frequency Prayer Series & Cultivating the Calmness Series are playlists are on The Sacredness of Healing YouTube channel.I also have begun to write The Sacredness of Healing book that will detail the process of The Sacred Soul Ignitions.

Wholeness As A Spiritual Practice

Influenced by videos by Tich Nahn Han, I have been delving into Wholeness.  The Whole of the World, The Whole of Me, The Whole of Us.  So, often we segment ourselves into paying attention to the part that is hurting the most or the thing that is squeaking the loudest.  When if one cell is suffering the whole body is suffering.  When one person is suffering the whole of us is suffering.  The application of energy to the Whole allows for a gentle embrace of the Allness, honoring our diverse characteristics and experiences.  Instead of trying to fix the finances, the body, the relationship etc. Win over another, we can look at our lives as a single, splendid Being. I have been praying and playing with this for about a week now.  I am finding that the chaos is being ordered, peacefully.  It has been a wonderful practice and one that I plan to continue.  It has also impacted overwhelm with a great reduction of worry, stress and fear.  The One thing that is next thing to order comes forward naturally through grace.  Then the next thing and the next.  My spiritual practice is life supporting... All Life Supporting with solutions and honor for everyone involved in this parade of daily living.

Focusing Life On Care, Action, Learning and Guidance.

I have been accepted into a 9-month training program to learn about facilitating compassionate care.  This program is offered by NY Zen Center on The Foundations for Compassionate Care. Open to people of all faiths, this study will give me a heart-based foundation in the principles both practical and spiritual on caring and communicating with chronically ill people, some of whom will transition through death of their physical body. This class will allow me to hone my Guidance inspired techique into skills applicable to professional environments.

As I have ventured into my physical challenges I believe that I have sat in full view of the Divine, comforted through the Divine, shown wisdom and peace.  I believe that this must be the same for others.  It has expanded me greatly.  I know that I am uniquely suited to guide individuals through a spiritual exploration during this very uncertain time.

My coursework at The NY Zen Center for Contemplative Care will include 50 hours of practical experience.  I must find an organization that will allow me to do this practiumm at independent organizations under the supervision of The Zen Center's instructors.  I am really hoping that I will be able to do some online work because as I have gone through the real experience of medicine related side effects, I found it impractical and impossible to be in a physical location.  If you have any suggestions and/or contacts I would greatly appreciate an introduction.

I also have to raise my portion ($2,500) of the tutition, your financial support is greatly appreciated. I will begin to offer Sacred Soul Ignitions to support this achievement.  What is a Sacred Soul Ignition?  I have recorded August's public session here.  It is one part intuitive guidance, one part art.  You will receive personalized in frequency prayers for practice enhancing contemplative and meditation prompts.

In the myraid of the many impractical and impossible things I have accomplished over these six years, this ranks close to the top.  My Guides have asked me, "Mercedes, what are you really healing?"

I am still working on the answer. (Smile) I believe that as I heal myself I heal the world.  I believe that the wholeness of my life is the balance and harmony of living in peace and inner strength through all situations.  I believe that my Divine Self is not a piece but rather it expresses the whole totality of who I am in this life.  I believe that as I cherish myself I feel the sacredness that I AM from within me and my view of all things and anything brings openings and expansion. To be honest, this coursework may be in some way preparing me for my own transition. Placing me in an environment that simply talks my language and has some experience in handling my death in a way that is in alignment with who I AM.

I hope you will explore The Sacredness of Healing on YouTube.  If you are interested in finding out more about compassionate caregiving visit the NY Zen Center.
