When to Use Contemplation vs. Meditation

When to use contemplation vs. meditation.

A question came up in another group that I’m in so I thought I put something here because we often talk about meditation as being the go to place for self care and spiritual support.

Contemplation is what I call spiritual inquiry. In contemplation as I lead my clients through it becomes a series of questions that we then surrender into Spirit and allow answers to come to us. There is more of an interplay
between myself and placing or planting into Source that which I desire to know.

This can be an exercise in patience. The answer may not come in what you would traditionally think from the exploration from the inside out; however, once you’ve planted the desire to know something, to feel differently or to be in a different mindset, there is a synchronistic release that is activated this allows the universe to begin to start working on your behalf. This means that you enabled the on switch to becoming sensitive to the subtleties Forces that are around you.

The answer or the deliverance may come in the form of a child talking to you, billboard that you may see, or feeling differently around a traditional or normal situation, something that occurs maybe every day but you somehow feel differently about what’s happening. You see highlights and spotlights put on “it” so you pay a little bit more attention to what the “it”
is and it’s meaning.

Your heart set is important. As you go into contemplation: go in through Love and come out through Love. This will give you the peace and confidence of knowing whatever comes before you is coming through Love.

Meditation works differently in the brain and creates different chemical reactions in the brain. It is very important for you to understand that while in spiritual practices, we say to surrender into meditation there are times when your active involvement in a contemplative practice allows you to be fully present as you realize energies to assist you.

Grounding yourself into the present moment allows you to work with Spirit as you live your day moments. Your “ prayer closet” or sacred space is available to you always and at all times, wherever you are, no matter what is happening.

Be cognizant and aware of whether when you are meditating you are escaping versus meditating to be in communion with the Holy Spirit.
There are times that going into “meditation” is not advised. Be in each now moment sometimes includes being with the pain of a circumstance in order to realize positive steps towards health and wellbeing.

A contemplative process can help. I have my Crew to assist and I also have a therapist. The Circles of Consciousness are for purpose and reason. If you do not have a Circle be in contemplation as to what you require, write it out and Be with it. It is an important part of any life journey. As I always say, “I had a spiritual practice before cancer. I just apply it to this experience.”

May you know the divine intimately.

Namaste time
